Rémy El Youssef, son of the hospital’s founder and currently a student at the University of Cambridge, has recently been given an honorific mention on the university’s official website.
Stefan Scholtes, Dennis Gillings Professor of Health Management and Director of the Centre for Health Leadership and Enterprise (CCHLE) at the University of Cambridge, was asked what made Rémy such an invaluable addition to his Cambridge MBA class. Stefan said:
“Rémy has a fascinating background, with his family operating a hospital in northern Lebanon, near the Syrian border. He brought a unique blend of commercial acumen and a deeply mission-driven mindset to the class. Together with his study group, he has developed an innovative startup concept: an app-based service that links a portion of children’s pocket money to health-promoting behaviours, encouraging positive habits early in life. Rémy is a promising future leader in healthcare, poised to make a significant impact in his country.”
